Girl Scouts partner with Role Models Matter Project

Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois is partnering with Techbridge's Role Models Matter Project to offer targeted training to women working in the fields of science, technology, and engineering who want to be role models for future generations.

Volunteers will receive free training and resources to help them become role models and do not have to be registered Girl Scout adults to take the Role Models Matter Training, nor volunteer with Girl Scouts after receiving training.

This training is also open current Girl Scout volunteers.

Techbridge will generously provide grant funds to GSNI for up to the first 90 volunteers who register and take the training by the end of June 2015.

To register, contact Pam Schnecke at (847) 741-5521, ext. 7140, or pschnecke@girlscoutsni.org.

Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois is 20,000 strong-15,000 girls and 5,000 adults who believe every girl can change the world. These girls develop leadership skills in 16 counties including parts or all of Boone, Carroll, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Jo Daviess, Kane, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside, and Winnebago. We help girls build courage, confidence, and character, so they can make the world a better place by inspiring them to discover their inner strength, talents, and passions. And with programs from Stomp Rockets to Camp Explorers, there's a chance for every girl to do something amazing! We're Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois.
