The Listening Room celebrates second anniversary
Crystal Lake, IL-Two years ago today, the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park staff and board of directors were all bursting with anticipation. The day they had been waiting for was finally approaching - and they all could not wait to share their joy with the community.
The Listening Room grand opening concert and ribbon cutting ceremony was on all of their minds simply because they knew how great it was and wanted to share it with all of you. Now, two years and over 100 performances later, they ask the community to come share in that excitement all over again for the second anniversary celebration.
At 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, enjoy a jazz concert featuring Glazz Ensemble, with special guest Chicago vocalist Linda Solotaire. There will be complimentary dessert and a cash bar. And, of course, sign the Listening Room's giant anniversary card. This card will be featured at events through the month of September, and they hope to get 500 signatures in total. To purchase tickets, visit www.lakesidelegacy.org.
The Listening Room was made possible by an incredible donation of funds and equipment from Beach Cite Inc. The community was truly bestowed a gift when Beach Cite chose this organization to donate to, and they are proud stewards of their mission and vision.
Now the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park and Historic Dole Mansion has two beautiful galleries for arts and entertainment, but also a 100-seat concert venue, designed to give the musician and audience an intimate experience unlike any other venue. Visit www.lakesidelegacy.org for a full schedule of events.
