Conditioning camp: Register by Friday, Oct. 17, for session held 9-10 a.m. Sundays and 7:15-8:15 p.m. Wednesdays Nov. 2 to Dec. 14, Grayslake Park District Rec Center, 240 Commerce Drive, Grayslake. Designed to prepare athletes ages 10 and up for their season, focusing on speed, power, flexibility, agility and balance. Cost is $156 for Grayslake Park District residents, $195 for nonresidents. Pink Out Football Game: 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, Fremd High School, Palatine. The United Club of Fremd and Fremd High School football players along with the American Cancer Society will dedicate the football game to help raise funds and awareness for cancer. Raffle, education table, dine and share days. Wear pink or yellow.

Volleyball tryouts: 2:30-4:30 p.m for ages 12U, . Saturday, Oct. 25; 5:30-7:30 p.m. for ages 13U/14U and 7:30-9:30 p.m. for ages 15U/16U Saturday and Wednesday Oct. 25 and 29 and Monday Nov. 3; and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 5, 10 and 11 for ages 17U/18U and varsity, The Sports Academy-Northwest, 355 Hastings, Buffalo Grove. The Sports Academy will hold tryouts for girls volleyball. There is a tryout fee of $10 for 12U. The fee is $30 for 13U-18U, who should attend all three dates. Mustangs Shoot-A-Thon and Fall Festival: Noon to 8 p.m. Nov. 8, Mundelein High School, 1350 W. Hawley St., Mundelein. High school and junior high players will be shooting 200 shots. There will be contests and prizes including a 50/50 raffle, a pie throwing contest, and a kids vs. parents dodgeball tournament. Pizza and drinks will be available. A Wii game system will be raffled.
