Old-Fashioned Christmas: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. Rochelle Pennington, author of a new book on Christmas traditions, will evoking memories of the magic of Christmas in the 1930s, 40s and 50s, display her antique toy collection and other holiday collectibles, and sign copies of her book.
Northwest Culture Bus: Bus departs at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, from the Barn of Barrington and returns at 3 p.m. Barrington Area Council on Aging host this day trip, designed for people experiencing early memory loss, to Cuneo Museum in Vernon Hills. $75 includes lunch, entrance or materials fees and transportation. Rockettes at the Rosemont Theatre: Departs at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, from the Community Recreation Center, 333 W. Dundee Road, Wheeling. Technology Connection Sessions for Seniors: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursdays, Dec. 4, 11 and 18, Vista Medical Center West, 2615 Washington St., Waukegan. Senior Circle's Technology Connection classes are designed to help those over 50 to learn more about using their computers. Membership is open to anyone 50 and over and costs $15 per year.
