ADHD Out Loud: 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, Libertyville Sports Complex, 1950 N. Highway 45, Libertyville. Health Care presentation: 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Senior Center, 100 E. Old Mill Road, Lake Forest. "Health Care: how to Cure the Chronic Crisis," presented by the League of Women Voters, will include a film outlining the problems with the current health care system, after which representatives from Campaign for Better Health Care and AARP will provide legislative updates and explain how these can affect health, followed by a question period. Blood Pressure Testing: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, Lake County Courthouse and Administration Building, 18 N. County St., Waukegan. ALS support group: 6:30 p.m. first Tuesday of every month, Marytown Retreat and Conference Center, 1600 W Park Ave, Libertyville. Flu shots: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays at Lake Forest Hospital, 660 N. Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest; 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays at Grayslake Outpatient & Acute Care Center, 1475 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake; and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at Gurnee Brookside Medical Building, 36100 N. Brookside Drive, Gurnee; while supplies last. The conventional vaccine is $30, nasal spray and mercury-free vaccines are $40. Cash is preferred. Lake Forest Hospital is not able to bill insurance, but the hospital will bill Medicare. Immunization Clinics for Children: 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, Harvest Bible Church, 255 Quentin Road, Lake Zurich, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays; 1-3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 1-6 p.m. Thursdays; and 9-11 a.m. the second Saturday of each month, Lake County Health Department Belvidere Medical Building Annex, 2303 Dodge Avenue, Waukegan. The cost of an immunization is $10, but no one is denied services due to inability to pay. Parents are asked to bring their children's past immunization records. No appointment necessary. CareCoach: Lake Forest Hospital's CareCoach mobile health unit offers Lake County residents health screenings, including blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and asthma.
