Northeastern Illinois ASQ Section 1212, a section of the American Society for Quality, will have their fourth annual putting contest as the pre-meeting clinic for their June meeting, followed by a buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting at 7:30 p.m., with the topic "Trending of Quality Data." Juneteenth Celebration: 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 20, College of Lake County Lakeshore Campus, 111 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. Juneteenth represents the joy of freedom and commemorates the end of slavery. A Freedom Walk Parade will start at 11:30 a.m. followed by the traditional African Opening Ceremony at noon. From noon to 2 p.m., a variety of speakers will be featured. Other activities include a "Kids Korner" from noon to 5 p.m. and the Juneteenth Marketplace and Expo from noon to 8 p.m., with a job training and resource fair.
