Health Resource Center Luncheon: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, Highland Park Country Club, 1201 Park Ave. W. Highland Park. Judy Markey will serve as the keynote speaker at the 13th Annual Myra Rubenstein Weis Health Resource Center Luncheon, "Healthy Lifestyles." The luncheon will include a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit Living in the Future cancer survivorship program of NorthShore University HealthSystem. Tickets are $75 per person. To make reservations, call (847) 926-5003.

"A Lie of the Mind": 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 7 and 8 and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, May 9. Lakes High School, 1600 Eagle Way, Lake Villa. A play exploring the effects of domestic violence on two families. Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for adults; $2 from every ticket will go to A Safe Place, a domestic violence shelter. "Angel Seating" tickets will also be available for $25 each, $20 of which will go to A Safe Place, which includes preferred seating, a backstage tour and a question and answer session with the cast and crew. Tickets will be available at the school from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day and will also be available at the door. Reach For Change Night: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, Elm Place Middle School, 2031 Sheridan Road, Highland Park. Students involved in Reach for Change have committed themselves to helping draw attention to the situation in Darfur. Highlights of the evening include a silent auction of celebrity autographs, raffle baskets, music, moon bounce, bake sale, movie previews and more. Admission is $1. Art Gallery Fundraiser: 7-10 p.m. Friday, May 8, Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church St., Libertyville. The Libertyville Wildcats Fine Arts Foundation will sponsoring the "Take a Look" fundraiser. Proceeds will go toward the establishment of a permanent Art Gallery at Libertyville High School. Tickets are $40 per person and include appetizers, desserts, and beer and wine. The evening will feature entertainment by local student musicians, a silent auction and a 50/50 Raffle. It Can Be Done: Mondays and Tuesdays, Francesca's Intimo, 293 E Illinois Road, Lake Forest. Francesca's Intimo has agreed to donate 15 percent of patrons' bills to the nonprofit organization It Can Be Done! on Mondays and Tuesdays if the customer mentions the organization to a restaurant employee. The proceeds will benefit the purchasing of a drill to construct wells throughout the 12 villages of Uru on Mount Kilimanjaro, providing the 30,000 people living there with freshwater.
