Events that raise money for some type of charity, including galas, golf outings, rummage sales, shopping events, fashion shows, picnics and sport nights. Deadline is two weeks before event date.

Kids fashion: Deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, April 10 for event at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 3839 W. Frontage Road, Palatine. A Spring Fashion Show Fundraiser featuring children ages 2 to 12. Donation requested of $15 per adult, $5 for children 6 and older and free for ages 5 and younger. It Can Be Done: Mondays and Tuesdays, Francesca's Intimo, 293 E Illinois Road, Lake Forest. Francesca's Intimo has agreed to donate 15 percent of patrons' bills to the nonprofit organization It Can Be Done! on Mondays and Tuesdays if the customer mentions the organization to a restaurant employee. The proceeds will benefit the purchasing of a drill to construct wells throughout the 12 villages of Uru on Mount Kilimanjaro, providing the 30,000 people living there with freshwater.
