Girls Softball League: Player Evaluation Saturday, April 25, Central Park Aquatic Softball Field, on Library Lane at Central Park Road. For ages 7-14, leagues will be formed by age. Players can expect a two or three day per week commitment. Practices will begin in mid-May, games will be played May 30 to July 11. Register before attending the evaluation, call the park district office for specific times, at (847) 223-7529. Teams will be run by volunteer parent coaches; if interested in coaching, call the Park District office. Players should bring their own glove.

Afterschool Club open house: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, Great Outdoors Camp, 38685 N. Deep Lake Road, Lake Villa. Meet camp staff, take tours and more. Great Outdoors Camp offers activities from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, including nature, animals, pool/lakefront swimming, boating, sports, science, performing arts, crafts and field trips. Titans Cheerleading: Open gym sessions 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesdays April 28 and May 5 and 12; official team placement Thursday May 14 (time TBA), and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday May 16, Lake Zurich Gymnastics Training Center at 405 Enterprise Parkway in Lake Zurich. The CCA Titans invite all girls entering kindergarten through 12th grade to join their all-star cheerleading teams for the next season. Junior Golf Lessons: Register by Wednesday, April 29, for class 4:30-5:30 p.m. or 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, May 6 to June 3, Master Golf Driving Range, 425 S. Route 45, Grayslake.
