There's still time to bid in Hands of Peace Virtual Benefit, to help empower youth as leaders of change

There's still time to donate and bid in the Hands of Peace "Magic Happens Online" 2020 Chicago Virtual Benefit, which is live now and continues through noon on Sunday, April 19.

To participate in the auction, visit the secure website at https://handsofpeace.org/2020-chicago-virtualbenefit/ and set up your online bidding account.

Featured auction items include a getaway at Saugatuck, Michigan, one week at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa and a private suite for 12 at a Chicago Bulls game. Plus, check out the mural, created by Israeli, Palestinian and American Hands of Peace participants from the 2019 Summer Program. Supporters also can raise their Paddle for Peace to make a fully tax-deductible donation.

In addition, the Virtual Benefit site includes "What's Possible," a moving video that tells the Hands of Peace stories of three alumni: Stav, Elias and Adam. The video celebrates the incredible work they're now doing around the world

The 2020 Hands of Peace Summer Program has been canceled for the first time since its inception 18 years ago. Hands of Peace is now finding creative ways to connect with participants around the world, because working for peace is more important than ever. Donations and bids in the Virtual Benefit empower youth as leaders of change through year-round Hands of Peace programming. They are ready and committed to building peace with justice. And Hands of Peace will support them, even if planes aren't flying and we can't gather in the same room.

Each year, the annual Hands of Peace teen leadership program brings together Israeli, Palestinian and American youth for facilitated dialogue sessions and leadership development. Since the first Hands of Peace Summer Program in 2003, many of its more than 650 alumni have become lawyers, engineers, doctors and environmentalists. Others are legislators, diplomats, entrepreneurs and journalists. All of them are creating change around the world.
