All American Reclaim hosts ribbon cutting and open house with Cary Area Chamber

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, All American Reclaim and the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting and open house event at the new location in Lake Barrington at 990 W. Northwest Hwy.

All American Reclaim salvages old barns and buildings that need to be taken down due to structural damage and safety concerns. They believe in reusing these materials that would otherwise be destroyed or put into a landfill. They preserve as much of the barn wood and reclaimed materials as possible to bring back to their shop.

All American Reclaim opened their new location after being in Crystal Lake for 5 years. The new location is in the former Pasquesi's Garden Center, south of Fox River Grove on Route 14. The new location is ideal for showcasing everything they have to offer.

President and owner Andy Michealis is a custom carpenter who fell in love with reclaimed wood the first time he worked with it five years ago.

"I love working with the old time lumber, they don't make lumber like they used to," says Michealis, "We didn't have a local supplier, so I became my own local supplier, and in doing so, became everyone else's supplier too."

All American Reclaim is now one of the largest suppliers of reclaimed wood in the Midwest. In addition to a large selection of reclaimed wood, they carry a variety of antiques, decor, and other reclaimed products. They can also create custom furniture for customers.

You can visit All American Reclaim at their new location at 990 W. Northwest Hwy. in Lake Barrington.

They can be reached via phone at (224) 209-8283. To learn more about All American Reclaim, visit www.allamericanreclaim.com They can also be found on Facebook, www.facebook.com/AllAmericanReclaim.
