ACFW-Chicago Invites Writers to Meet Author Libby Hellmann

Award-winning crime fiction author Libby Fischer Hellmann will present "The Pros and Cons of Traditional and Self Publishing" from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13, in the Rasmussen North Room of the Schaumburg Township Library, 130 S. Roselle Road. This program will take place during the monthly meeting of the American Christian Fiction Writers Chicago chapter (ACFW-Chicago) and is not affiliated with the library.

Fischer-Hellmann, author of 15 novels and 25 short stories, will share her insights and experiences with both forms of publishing and answer audience questions. Some of her books will be available for purchase and signing after the meeting.

Writers of all genres and levels are welcome to attend, and visitors may attend twice before deciding whether to join ACFW-Chicago. Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at the Schaumburg Library. Members participate in workshops, hear presentations from editors and award-winning authors, and network with other writers. Topics highlight various aspects of writing, editing and getting published. Critique nights are held several times throughout the year.

Questions may be directed to ACFW-Chicago President Susan Miura at susan.miura@yahoo.com.
