Fox Valley Area Anglers welcome firefighter/paramedic Scott Rubo

Fox Valley Area Anglers, a multispecies fishing club, will host 10 tournaments and nine fishing outings from April through October. FVAA meetings are held at 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Tap House Grill, 3341 W. Main St. in St. Charles. Meeting speakers cover a variety of topics.

The March 26 month's meeting will feature Scott Rubo, a firefighter/paramedic from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District. He will be demonstrating CPR and AED use for lifesaving measures. He is a licensed paramedic, Fire Officer 1, with many certifications including CPR instructor. He has been teaching CPR for about 20 years and has seen many changes to the process, all with the goal of saving lives. He will be presenting current information and teachings on CPR and how to properly use an AED.

This includes hazards you have to be aware of before using an AED and what you can do to assist in these situations.
