Nine Advocate Good Samaritan specialists named 'Top Doctors'

Nine Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital physicians were among those recognized as Chicago's Top Doctors in the January 2019 issue of Chicago magazine.

As a health care system, 31 Advocate Health Care physicians were recognized and accounted for half of the experts highlighted in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics, especially in areas of Gastroenterology, Neurology, and Surgery.

"Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is committed first and foremost to offering the safest and highest quality of care for the patients and communities we serve," said Dr. Chuck Derus, vice president of medical management at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

"We are very proud to have so many of our physicians featured in this year's issue, and proud of the excellent and dedicated work of all our physicians here at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital."

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital physicians named to the Chicago magazine list include: Michel N. Ilbawi, MD, Thoracic & Cardiac Surgery; Robert W. Bastian, MD, Otolaryngology; James D. Jenks, MD, Obstetrics & Gynecology; Virginia Kelly, MD, Obstetrics & Gynecology; Thomas J. Grobelny, MD, Neuroradiology; Mamdouh Bakhos, MD, Thoracic & Cardiac Surgery; John Joseph Brems, MD, General Surgery; Heidi E. Swanson, DO, Pediatrics; and Mary E.
