Ultimate Girls Celebrate Success at St. Jude Gymnastics Meet
Rosemont, IL, Jan.14, 2018: Ultimate Gymnastics of Gurnee's competitive girls' teams embraced the new year with a powerful showing at the St. Jude Benefit Classic, Jan. 12-14, finishing the weekend with 18 individual event champions, 6 individual all-around champions and 37 Top 3 individual medalists total.
All proceeds from the St. Jude Classic, hosted by Gymnasti Gymnastics of Carol Stream, IL, are donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a pediatric research center dedicated to treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude covers travel, food, housing and treatment expenses and is funded primarily through public donations. Thinking about the courageous children they are helping support by participating in a benefit meet always motivates these young athletes.
In the Level 9 Junior Division, Ultimate gymnast Anna Becker continued an impressive season, finishing first on floor exercise and netting the all-around title. The team's individual placements for Level 9 are as follows:

Ultimate's Level 8 athletes also delivered some big performances. In the Junior B division, Annika Chudy won gold on both uneven bars and floor exercise. Ally Gitler was balance beam champion for the Senior B Division. Individual placements are as follows:

Level 7 gymnast Kaya Bogot grabbed the top spot for the Senior B division, placing first for uneven bars, balance beam and all-around. The Level 7 team was solid across the board, bringing home the Fourth-Place Team Title for their session. Individual placements are as follows:

With 19 athletes placing in the top 10 for individual events and two all-around champions, Ultimate's Level 6 gymnasts came to play, earning Second-Place Team honors for their session. Kenzie Liebau picked up gold medals on both balance beam and floor exercise and was the Junior B Division all-around champion. In the Senior B Division, Becca Tran was gold medalist on uneven bars and won the all-around title. Teammate Reese Berke took gold on balance beam and floor exercise. Ultimate's team of ten Level 4 athletes proved fierce competitors, capturing 13 top-three individual event placements, two all-around titles, and a Third-Place Team banner. In the Junior A Division, Grace Reimers topped the podium with first on balance beam, floor exercise and all-around. Teammate Camryn Clark claimed gold on bars. All-around champion in the Senior A Division was Olivia Auriol, who also collected gold on balance beam and floor exercise. Individual placements are as follows:
