In Sync Systems moves to new Crystal Lake location

In Sync Systems recently moved into the former Crystal Lake Food Pantry building at 257 King St.

For the past 26 years, In Sync has served McHenry County and surrounding areas with telecommunication solutions, low voltage wiring, security cameras and access control.

In Sync's new location has a rich history. In 1969, Culligan Water built the original building. In 1999, the building was sold to Helping Paws, the animal shelter. Helping Paws stayed for 7 years before moving to Woodstock and sold the building to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry in December 2006. The Crystal Lake Food Pantry had been in the lower level of the Salvation Army. The food pantry, due to its growing needs for larger capacity, sold the building to move to 42 East St. in Crystal Lake.

In Sync Systems remodeled the 48-year-old, 3,502 square foot building to accommodate a new conference room and offices. It is also installing access control for its doors, security cameras both inside and outside and has upgraded its computer wiring to accept the higher bandwidth needs of today's business climate.

When not installing new technology for its customers, Mike Splitt and staff has helped organize and volunteer for local 5K's to help out several of McHenry County's nonprofit agencies. The 5K's include the Bob Blazier Raue Run for the Arts and the McHenry County Patriot Run benefiting the TLS Veterans and the Veterans Assistance Commission.

Also, In Sync assists on the Kiwanis Santa Run for Kids with the Crystal Lake Kiwanis Club. Combined, these 5K's have raised an astounding $500,000 to date.
