KCM Beautiful Things offers art classes in Bartlett

KCM Beautiful Things is actually Kathleen Malick. She is a local bartlett artist that recognizes that people want to create art too so she started a series of classes called The Craft & Cocktails series. In each class, she teaches you a technique and/or a craft and provides guidance throughout in a relaxed atmostphere. You certainly don't have to be an artist to attend. You just have to love making something of your own. The series offers many options if you would like the class taught to your group at your location: 1/Class and snacks, 2/Class and beverages, or 3/Class only.

Kathleen is primarily a fibre artist but has many other interests that she wants to share with others. The last class she offered was very full and everyone raved what a great time it was. It was the Decoupage class and many budding artists attended. Being deeply invovlved in her community, she is also an Arts in Bartlett officer, is currently the 1st Vice President in the Bartlett Woman's Club, sings in Spring Valley Chorus, and is the Director of Poplar Creek Church's yearly Jubilee. You can find her most Fridays in the summer manning the Arts in Bartlett tent in the Bartlett Farmer's Market.

The next class that is being offered is the Mosaics & Mimosas class on October 12th from 7-9pm. It is $20 a person and registration is required. It will be held at the Arts in Bartlett Center for the Arts, 118 W. Bartlett Ave., #2, Bartlett. Students will be working with glass, ceramics, stones, & cement to learn how to create & bring home a mosaic masterpiece!
