Lakeside Legacy Arts Park exhibits work of students from Creative Artistry School Aug 3

Lakeside Legacy Arts Park welcomes Creative Artistry School of Fine Art to the August 3rd First Friday gallery exhibit. Directed by Amber Larsen, a former Crystal Lake District 47 art instructor, the Creative Artistry School has been thriving since 2008. Larsen and her seven other instructors offer workshops and classes for adults and kids all year round, providing an outlet for students to express their creativity. Larsen believes that “creating art develops how you see the world, waking up your visual perceptions and giving deeper meaning to your life.” Located in the Dole Mansion's former caretaker's cottage, Creative Artistry is directly affiliated with Lakeside Legacy Arts Park and Larsen is considered a resident partner artist. Meet Amber Larsen, view her student's pieces, and see two other art exhibits at the free event August 3rd First Friday event from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Origami, face painting, coloring and other crafts will be available. Other artists featured are Martin Lopez and 4 Strings Attached violinists, Patricia Bell and her “Make a Wish” installation, oil painter Danuta Loane, and jazz pianist Scott Tarson. Creative Artistries as well as the other exhibits will be viewable for the entire month of August, 9am-5pm. Lakeside Legacy Arts Park is located at 401 Country Club Road.
