Hear from candidates themselves at five village hall meetings

The Dundee-Rutland branch of the Elgin Area League of Women Voters has invited the candidates in the April 9 election to participate in a series of candidate meetings. Five meetings will be held during the week of March 18 with candidates for office in three municipalities, Elgin Community College District 509, and Dundee and Rutland townships invited.

The candidates for Carpentersville village trustee will meet on Monday, March 18; candidates for East Dundee Village President and village trustee on Tuesday, March 19; and candidates for West Dundee Village President and village trustee on Wednesday, March 20. Each meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in their respective village halls.

At 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, the candidates for Rutland Township Clerk and Trustees will meet in the Eagles Club house, 325 Raymond Drive, Gilberts.

On Saturday, March 23, candidates for office in Elgin Community College District 509, Dundee Township Assessor and the Dundee Township Park District will meet at 9 a.m. in the Senior Center of the Rakow Center, 665 Barrington Ave., Carpentersville.

Everyone is invited to attend these meetings and learn more about the candidates. Each candidate will be asked to speak and then members of the audience may submit questions to them.
