Donate bikes to Bike Drive on April 14 in Wheaton
Got Bikes? Cleaning out your garage? Join His Wheels International and Clapham School's Middle School at their Bike Drive from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 14, at Johnsen & Taylor in Wheaton Town Square. Bikes and bike parts will be accepted. Johnsen & Taylor is extending a 30-percent discount on regular priced items to anyone who makes a donation.
Clapham School (claphamschool.com) is a Christian Classical school in Wheaton, with a vision to equip men and women to intentionally serve Christ by cultivating his goodness, truth and beauty in the world. The middle school has a goal to collect 150 bikes at this service event.
After refurbishing the bikes, His Wheels will distribute them to refugee families through World Relief DuPage and through other partnerships.
Some bikes are sold to generate funds to create hand-peddled trikes for disabled people.
His Wheels has distributed bikes and trikes to individuals affiliated with 89 countries.
Buy a bike to support this cause at the upcoming Used Bike Sale on Saturday, March 31.
