Victorian Christmas Month brings 'A Christmas Story' to Woodstock Theatre

The Classic Cinemas family welcomes your family to a special holiday viewing of “A Christmas Story” (PG) at the celebrated Woodstock Theatre. As part of the city's annual Victorian Christmas celebration, downtown Woodstock kicks off a day of kids' holiday fun at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 with this 1983 Christmas classic. Admission to this event is $1 per person. The Woodstock Theatre is located at 209 Main St. on the historic square in Woodstock.

“A Christmas Story” follows nine-year-old Ralphie Parker Ralphie, a young boy growing up in the forties who dreams of owning a Red Rider BB gun. He sets out to convince the world this is the perfect gift. But along the way, he runs into opposition from his parents, his teacher and even good 'ol Santa Claus himself! A true slice of a young boy's story about growing up during this era in the Midwest, “A Christmas Story” comes to life amidst the vintage ambience of the notable Woodstock Theatre.

Victorian Christmas is a month-long celebration of Woodstock's downtown district wherein the Historic Woodstock Square is transformed back to a Victorian motif for the duration of the holiday season. This celebration is presented by the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and upcoming events are listed at www.woodstockilchamber.com.
