High schoolers explore COD Health Careers Dec. 2
High school students can participate in “Exploring Careers: Health Careers” from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, at College of DuPage.
Anna Gay, nontraditional CTE grant coordinator in the High School Partnerships office at COD, said health care fields continue to need employees, especially as the Baby Boom generation heads toward retirement.
“Both men and women are turning toward health care, whether they are traditional-age students or are learning new skills as they change careers,” she said. “College of DuPage has a wide variety of health care programs and works closely with the local medical community to determine current and future training needs.”
The event is open to all high school students and will be held in the Student Resource Center, Room 2800. For more information or to RSVP, students should ask their high school counselors or parents to call (630) 942-3602 or email mcgrathd370@cod.edu.
