COD gets $15,999 for Manufacturing Technology Program

College of DuPage has received a $15,999 grant from the Tooling and Manufacturing Association Education Foundation for its Manufacturing Technology program.

Funding will support a portion of the cost to purchase five state-of-the-art Bridgeport vertical milling machines that will be used in basic and advanced machine shop classes.

The Manufacturing Technology program currently offers four AAS degrees in Automated Manufacturing Systems, Drafting and Design, Manufacturing Technology and Manufacturing Engineering Technology.

In addition, the College offers seven certificates, including Manufacturing Skills Standards, Automated Manufacturing Systems, Manufacturing Technology, Drafting/Design, Computer-Aided Design, Mold Making, and Tool and Die Making.
