'Who is Falling Out of the Middle Class in DuPage County?' at COD Nov. 16

Representatives from the DuPage Federation will present, “Who is Falling Out of the Middle of DuPage County? What Decision Makers Need to Know about Low-Income Working Households in DuPage County” at College of DuPage on Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Registration for this free program begins at 6 p.m.

Hosted by the College of DuPage Foundation, the evening will include a presentation by Candace King, Executive Director, DuPage Federation, and Phil Smith, Program Director, DuPage Federation. King and Smith will provide the latest statistics on what it takes to “get by” in DuPage County; implications of the current economy on employment, transportation, healthcare and education; and factors affecting head of household decision makers.

Founded in 1995, the DuPage Federation on Human Services Reform is a collaboration of government and key community organizations that identify ways a local community can address its human needs using its own resources and resourcefulness. The DuPage Federation is the only organization conducting policy analysis and systems change work on human services issues in DuPage County.
