Girls volleyball/Fox Valley roundup

Burlington Central d. Genoa-Kingston: Sydney Sand had 7 kills and Allie O’Reilly 19 assists to lead the Rockets to a 25-19, 25-14 Big Northern East win. Hayley Brake (4 kills), Brenda Thasavong (4 kills) and Karrington Bell (6 digs, 3 aces, 11 points) also contributed for Central (16-10, 5-1).

Grayslake North d. Hampshire: Jenny Dumoulin had 7 kills and Kelly Meathe 15 digs but Hampshire (6-18, 1-7) fell to Grayslake North 28-26, 25-21 in the Fox Valley Fox.

Huntley d. Dundee-Crown: Ashley Smith had 7 kills and Jaina Jackson added 6 as Huntley (18-4, 8-1) rolled over Dundee-Crown 25-9, 25-8 in the FVC Valley. Amy Dion had 15 digs and Eli Manning 21 assists for the Red Raiders. Rebekah Hischke had 3 kills and Lauren Lococo 6 digs for Dundee-Crown (4-12, 0-9).

Harvest Christian d. Elgin Academy: Hannah Depledge had 5 kills and Kali Cramer added 3 kills and 11 assists to lead Harvest Christian (14-5-1) to a 25-17, 25-17 nonconference win over Elgin Academy. Katelyn Floys added 2 kills and 9 assists for the Lions while Bridget Keslinske had 8 kills and 5 digs for Elgin Academy (6-12). Claire Fuigel added 6 kills and 8 digs for the Hilltoppers, while Angie Martinez had 4 digs, 15 assists and 3 aces and Allyson Wittenmeyer added 3 kills and 3 blocks.

CL South d. McHenry: Carly Nolan had 8 kills and Kylie Portera added 6 to lead Crystal Lake South to a 25-17, 25-12 FVC Valley win. Emmy Oraham had 21 assists for the Gators (11-16, 3-6).

Women’s volleyball

Judson d. Calumet: Annie Holderman had 9 kills, while Carissa Oelke and Kylee Koon added 8 each as Judson (7-12, 3-4) beat Calumet 25-11, 25-19, 25-15 in the CCAC. Oelke also had 17 digs and Kristen Kohlstedt added 17 assists.
