COD hosts Domestic Violence Awareness Fair Oct. 26

The Human Services program at College of DuPage will host the seventh annual Domestic Violence Awareness Fair from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, in the Student Resource Center, Lower Walkway outside Follett's Bookstore.

According to the American Institute on Domestic Violence, 5.3 million women are abused each year.

The college's fair addresses these statistics and features representatives from local assistance agencies, interactive displays and films.

The event also features a bake sale and other activities designed to raise awareness among students and community members.
