Former Harvard resident to perform in Woodstock

Nashville recording artist Annie Kennedy, who as a young girl lived in Harvard with her family, has just released her debut album "Highway Songs" and will perform at the All Seasons Apple Orchard on Route 176 in Woodstock at 1:30 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 2 and 16.

The album, "Highway Songs", is a glimpse into the beginning of Annie's journey in life and the music industry.

Annie has either written or co-written all of the songs on the album. The album title comes not only from one of the album tracks, but from the idea that the songs contained on it can accompany most anyone on their road through life. Annie's songs about life, love, and friendship are deeply personal, yet reflect universal struggles that she hopes all her listeners will be able to relate to. Says Annie, “I think there is something on this album for everyone; young or old, man or woman, country music fan or not.”

Annie's last performance in the area was back in 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church when she was touring with the Millikin University Choir. At the orchard you will hear music from the album, other new compositions and country classics. Annie is excited to be performing once again in the northern suburbs she used to call home.
