COD students give culinary demo at Yorktown Farmers Market

The College of DuPage Culinary & Hospitality program will give demonstrations from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the farmers market at the Yorktown Shopping Center.

The COD team will feature summer dishes using fresh produce and other products from vendors at the farmer's market. Demonstrations will be held in the center of the farmer's market near the fountain. In addition, team members will distribute recipes for light, summer fare.

The market, which runs Wednesdays through Oct. 12, is located in the Shops of Yorktown and features fresh fruits and vegetables, breads, muffins, olive oil, farm fresh cheese and milk, chocolates, fresh flowers and more.
