Not a bad night for the Abads.Vanesa Abad had 2 goals, and her sister Catalina Abad also scored for Lake Zurich#146;s soccer team in its 3-0 shutout of Warren in a North Suburban Lake Division match Wednesday.
Josie Willman had an assist for Lake Zurich (6-6-1, 2-1-1).
Warren fell to 3-11-1 and 0-3-1 in the NSC Lake.
Lakes 8, North Chicago 0: The Eagles got goals from eight players in their North Suburban Prairie shutout.
Hannah Jewel, Jenna Baker, Ashley Neubeck, Anne-Marie Brugioni, Paige Coddington, Anne Safron, Sarah Dreyer and Becca Pierce were the goal scorers for Lakes (5-8, 2-2). Jenna Baker, Leah Baker, Safron, Pierce, Becky Hill, Sarah Norkus and Brugioni had assists.
Eagles keeper Sarah Fitzpatrick earned her third shutout of the season.
Carmel 3, Joliet Catholic 0: Ashley Orth scored twice, and Caitlin Jung had a goal and an assist for the Corsairs in the East Suburban Catholic Conference contest.
