COD president marks 30 years in leadership
College of DuPage President Robert L. Breuder shares a few moments with his wife, Wendy, at a recent surprise party held at the College to celebrate Dr. Breuder's 30th consecutive year as a community college president.
In 1981, Dr. Breuder earned the title of “youngest community college president in the nation” when he filled this role at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Penn., at the age of 36.
He subsequently served at Penn Tech for 16 years before accepting the position of President of William Rainey Harper College in Palatine in 1998.
Dr. Breuder's two-year anniversary at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn was Jan. 6.
