Naperville Central, WW South share DVC title

Naperville Central 47, Glenbard North 41:

Jamie Cuny scored 16 points, and the host Redhawks fought off a tough challenge from Glenbard North to win a share of their eighth DuPage Valley Conference championship in 10 years.

Naperville Central (22-8, 12-2) trailed 26-24 at half, but Cuny hit four of her five 3-pointers in the game-turning third quarter. Jill D'Amico and Emma Donahue each chipped in 10 points for the Redhawks. Carson Jones paced Glenbard North (7-18, 3-11) with 15 points and Bri Harn scored 12.

WW South 60, West Aurora 32:

Freshman Maggie Dansdill scored 17 points, and the host Tigers (21-6, 12-2) clinched a share of their first DVC title in three years. Kasey Gassensmith added 10 points for WW South, which outscored West Aurora 17-1 in the third quarter to blow things open.

Wheaton North 62, Glenbard East 33:

Fantasia Vine poured in 21 points on Senior Night in Wheaton, and became the first Falcons player in school history to score 1,000 in her career. Maddie Baillie added 9 points and Mandy Traversa 8 for Wheaton North (17-8, 10-4 DVC). For Glenbard East (4-20, 1-12) Michaela Stranski scored 13 points.

St. Joseph 57, Wheaton Academy 37:

Ally Witt scored 16 points to pace the Warriors (9-17).
