Miller hits 1,000 in Glenbard East win

Glenbard East senior point guard Zach Miller scored his 1,000th career point to help the Rams earn a 75-60 DuPage Valley Conference victory on Saturday night in Lombard, ending Naperville North's four-game winning streak.

Miller scored 13 points while Johnny Hill scored a game-high 23 points for Glenbard East (13-1, 5-0). Dante Bailey added 19 points for the Rams. Naperville North (7-7, 3-2) was led by Jovonn Griffin with 21 points and Nick Buege with 12.

Naperville Central 58, Wheaton North 52:

David Niggins' career-high 36 points led the Redhawks to their first DuPage Valley Conference victory, at home. Naperville Central improved to 6-9, 1-4, while Wheaton North (8-6, 2-3) was led by Jeff Schalk's 23 points.

WW South 50, West Chicago 29:

Also in DVC play, Reilly O'Toole scored 18 points and Kevin Bridges added 11 for the Tigers (7-7, 2-3). Justin Mundt scored 12 points for West Chicago (4-10, 0-5).

West Aurora 55, Glenbard North 54:

Glenbard North (6-7, 2-3) led 15-10 after the first quarter but couldn't maintain in the DVC contest in Carol Stream. Josh Fleming and Anthony Keener each scored 17 points for the Panthers. Juwan Starks' 17 points led West Aurora (8-4, 5-0).

Chicago Christian 54, St. Francis 47:

In the Suburban Christian Conference Blue Division St. Francis (4-8, 0-3) was led by Mike Scholl's 17 points and Nick Donati's 13.

Walther Lutheran 55, Montini 46:

Montini (3-9, 0-4) assembled a 22-point fourth quarter but it was not enough to upend Walther in the Suburban Christian Blue. Asante McKinley scored 11 points and Jim Miller added 8 for the Broncos.
