Gaylor, Grant edge Richmond-Burton
Jerry Gaylor's putback with 57 seconds left snapped a tie and Grant's boys basketball team survived a couple of missed layups by Richmond-Burton in the final seconds to pull out a 60-56 win at Johnsburg Saturday night.
Gaylor led Grant (2-2) with 23 points and was named to the all-tournament team.
Vernon Hills 71, Evergreen Park 35: At Northridge Prep, Chris Argianas scored a career-high 31 points, sinking eight 3-pointers.
DaVaris Daniels added 10 points for Vernon Hills.
Marengo 47, Wauconda 36: At Johnsburg, the Bulldogs fell to 0-4, despite 10 points from
Michael Obrochta.
