St. Francis clinches share of title

Meg Vonderhaar threw down 15 kills, and St. Francis clinched a share of the Suburban Christian Conference Blue title with a 27-25, 25-14 win over Rosary on Monday in Wheaton.

Theresa Katarzynski added 7 kills, Lauren Duncan 6 kills, Gina Madonia 15 digs and Kelly Reinke 23 assists for St. Francis (26-7, 9-1).

Naperville North d. West Chicago: Sarah Haselhorst, out for much of the season with a broken pinkie, had 10 kills and 14 digs as the Huskies won 25-22, 15-25, 26-24 to hand the Wildcats their first DuPage Valley Conference loss.

Ashley Crawford added 6 kills, Sarah Romberg 27 assists and 14 digs and Emily Koch 5 digs for Naperville North (16-13, 9-4 DVC). For West Chicago (26-3, 12-1) Kathy Fletcher had 9 kills and 5 blocks, Emily Paschke 8 kills and 4 blocks and Julia Conard 6 kills and 12 digs.

York d. Willowbrook: Caroline Rose put down 12 kills to pace the Dukes past Willowbrook 25-21, 25-9. Claire Grabinski added 7 kills and Emily Iverson 15 assists for York (27-3).

Immaculate Conception d. Walther Lutheran: Colleen Manion had 5 kills and Jennifer Clementi 4 kills and 4 blocks, and the Knights (17-11, 8-2 Suburban Christian Gold) beat the Broncos 25-21, 25-10.

Morton d. Addison Trail: Katie Keller had 11 kills for the Blazers, but Morton rallied for a 15-25, 25-17, 25-22 win in Addison. JoAnne DiNatale added 11 digs, Katie O'Connor 9 digs and Kayla Foster 5 kills for Addison Trail (10-17, 2-3 West Suburban Gold).

Montini d. Guerin: Kristin Burger had 5 kills and 2 blocks and Joyce Balash 3 kills and 2 blocks to pace the Broncos (10-18, 6-7) to a 25-17, 25-11 win.

Marian Central d. Wheaton Academy: Molly McCoy had 4 kills and 3 digs and Bianca Cifaldi 3 kills for the Warriors in a 25-3, 25-13 loss.
