Wilson, Stevenson power past Zion-Benton

Stevenson 15, Zion-Benton 3: Pat Wilson homered for the second straight day and doubled twice, finishing 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, as the visiting Patriots topped the Zee-Bees for the second time in as many days in North Suburban Lake action.

Stevenson (9-1, 2-1) received other 3-hit games from Corey Lasky, Kory Cutler, Kyle Ruchim (double, triple) and Erick King (double, 2 RBI). Alex Daar contributed a double.

Mundelein 19, Lake Forest 3: The Mustangs spotted the Scouts a 3-0 lead in the top of the first before responding with 11 runs in their half of the inning.

Luis Carrasco homered and Mike O'Donoghue doubled twice for Mundelein (10-2, 2-1), which completed a sweep in the two teams' North Suburban Lake games this week. The Mustangs also got doubles from Matt Risdon, Charlie Gandolfi and D.J. Lewis.

Colin Franklin earned the win.

Libertyville 8, Lake Zurich 1: Joey Eichmann picked up the win for the host Wildcats, who were led offensively by Brandon Fowkes (2-for-3, 2 doubles, 3 RBI) in the North Suburban Lake game.

Libertyville (7-3, 3-0) also got a 2-for-4 effort from Tyler Schweigert. Brad Martin had a single, 2 runs scored and an RBI.

Warren 18, St. Joseph 4: Caleb Haley hit a solo homer, and Tim Bodine went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI, as the Blue Devils cruised in the nonconference game.

Warren (11-2) also received 2-for-2 performances from Pat Kenney (RBI) and Scott Heelan (double, 4 RBI). Mike Herrmann and Matt Dowd had double, as well.

Haley earned the win in relief, tossing 21/3 innings of no-hit ball.

Wauconda 13, North Chicago 1: The Bulldogs made it two North Suburban Prairie wins in as many days over the Warhawks.

Tom Tyrrell homered, while Kevin Fessler doubled. Shawn Sundquist earned the win.

Waukegan 12, Grant 2: Waukegan broke open the nonconference game by scoring 8 runs in the top of the third inning.
