Blume drives Lake Zurich past Libertyville

Lake Zurich 1, Libertyville 0: Kelli Blume drove in the game's only run in the bottom of the fourth, as the Bears defeated the Wildcats in North Suburban Lake action for the second day in a row.

Tabbetha Bohac pitched 42/3 innings for the win, striking out four, walking one and allowing 3 hits. Megan Mattera finished for the save.

Lake Zurich (6-6, 3-0) received singles from Blume, Steph Wonders, Alli McGinnis and Amanda Orchard.

Libertyville fell to 2-7, 0-4.

Prairie Ridge 7, Grayslake Central 0: The Rams managed just 4 hits in the Fox Valley Fox game.

Antioch 12, Round Lake 0: Amber Mysliwiec belted a first-inning grand slam, and Samie Seamon homered for the second day in a row, as the Sequoits won in 5 innings over the Panthers for the second time in as many days.

Mysliwiec finished with 5 RBI. Seamon was 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored, and Jess Liszka went 2-for-4 with 2 runs and an RBI.

Michelle Schlung pitched a 2-hitter for Antioch (6-3, 4-0).

Vernon Hills 8, Lakes 7: The visiting Cougars avenged Tuesday's loss, as they prevailed in 12 innings.

Carly Alm led the way offensively for Vernon Hills (5-9, 1-3), as she went 4-for-6. Bridget Munoz was 2-for-2 with a double and Paige Kahalnik went 2-for-5.

Vernon Hills freshman Jennifer Claussen pitched 8 innings in relief and retired the last 17 batters she faced.

Lakes fell to 6-4 and 1-1 in the North Suburban Prairie.
