State jobs task force holds hearing at Harper

Representatives from Motorola and other area businesses will join state legislators at 10 a.m. April 6 in the Wojcik Conference Center at Harper College, for a special hearing of the House of Representatives' Bipartisan Job Creation Task Force.

The hearing, co-hosted by state Rep. Fred Crespo (D-Hoffman Estates), is intended to generate new ideas for creating more jobs and growing businesses in and around the Northwest suburbs. Crespo will be joined by Deputy Majority Leader Lou Lang, the task force chairman, and other state legislators, as well as representatives from local labor unions, local retailers and manufacturers.

The event is free and open to the public. All businesses interested in testifying must submit their testimony in writing. All testimonies will be presented to the committee; however, due to time constraints, individual public testimony will be limited.
