Henshaw drives in winning run for Lancers

Lake Park 4, Lockport 3: Chelsea Henshaw fisted a full-count single up the middle with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, scoring Stephanie Starr with the winning run at the Illinois Bash Jamboree.

Angie Bates (2-1) worked three innings of scoreless relief for No. 6 Lake Park (2-1). Carly Willert hit an inside-the-park home run.

Benet 3, Glenbard East 0: Allyson Staats (4-0) fired a four-hitter, striking out eight for the No. 8 Redwings (4-1) in Lisle.

St. Francis 4, Geneva 2: Bri Pasquale's 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning, scoring Paige Davis, spoiled nonconference foe Geneva's home opener. St. Francis (4-3) ended a three-game skid as Taylor Ronchetto (4-2) allowed no earned runs in a complete-game 4-hitter over 1-4 Geneva.

Fenton 7, Grayslake Central 2: Sarah Overlin went 3-for-4 and scored 2 runs and Kelly Welch 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Bison (2-2) at the Illinois Bash Jamboree. Earlier in the day Libertyville beat Fenton 4-0. Brittany Schick went 2-for-3, scored 2 runs and drove in a run.

Hinsdale Central 17-14, East Aurora 1-4: Lauren Franke went 2-for-4 and drove in 4 runs in the first game and Jessie Parks went 2-for-4 and scored 2 runs for Hinsdale Central (2-0) in Game 2.
