Warren streaks by Wauconda

Warren's boys basketball team stayed hot Tuesday night, defeating host Wauconda 84-33 in North Suburban Conference crossover action.

It was the 10th win in a row for the Blue Devils (13-10).

All 13 Warren boys who dressed and hit the court scored in the game. Leading the Blue Devils was junior Brandon Ferguson, who scored 14 points.

Wauconda fell to 6-21.

Grayslake Central 81, Elgin 40: The Fox Valley Conference champions won their 15th game in a row, defeating the visiting Maroons in a nonconference game.

Grayslake Central (21-6) was led in scoring by Josh Rappaport, who scored 17 points. Andrew Sipes added 15.

Elgin fell to 5-20.

Stevenson 56, Antioch 28: Nate Johnson scored 20 points for the Patriots, leading them to a victory over the Sequoits in the North Suburban crossover. Stevenson improved its record to 19-7.

Kyle Haley scored 8 points for Antioch (9-19).

Libertyville 57, Grant 55: While the Bulldogs pulled within four points in the third quarter, the Wildcats came out victorious in the North Suburban crossover.

Billy Meyer scored 24 points for Libertyville (13-13). Hobie Herberger added 15.

Four players scored in double digits for Grant (9-16). Shane Richardson scored 16 points, Jerry Gaylor added 14, and Vic Muntu and Travis Stefanowski each scored 11.

Mundelein 78, Round Lake 39: Double-digit performances by Ben Brust, Ryan Sawvell and Robert Knar helped the Mustangs win the North Suburban crossover and improve their record to 19-12.

Brust scored 15 points, Sawvell added 14 and Knar chipped in 10.

Juddon Carter and Jon Martinez each scored 10 points for Round Lake (2-24).

Lake Forest 51, Vernon Hills 44: The Cougars suffered their fourth straight loss in the North Suburban crossover. Vernon Hills fell to 16-9.

Lake Forest (15-11) was powered by Mitch Hopfinger, who scored 22 points. Teammate Thomas Durrett added 11 points.

Marengo 51, Grayslake North 47: The Knights fell to 12-13, while the Indians improved to 5-18 in the nonconference game.
