Grant edges Round Lake

Shane Richardson scored a game-high 19 points, as Grant's boys basketball team pulled out a 50-46 win over visiting Round Lake on Saturday night.

Thomas Gier added 10 for Grant, which improved to 7-12 overall and 4-5 in the North Suburban Prairie Division.

Round Lake (2-18, 2-8) was led by Juddon Carter with 13 points, including two 3-pointers, and Trevor Clippard with 11.

Vernon Hills 47, Wauconda 32: DaVaris Daniels scored 16 points for the visiting Cougars in the North Suburban Prairie contest.

Wauconda (6-17, 1-9) received 16 points from Tyler Gick.

Carmel 64, Marian Catholic 62: The visiting Corsairs prevailed in double overtime to snap a two-game slide and improve to 9-12 overall and 3-5 in the East Suburban Catholic Conference.
