Painted Penguin: Register by Tuesday, Nov. 10, for trip from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, leaving from the Grayslake Park District Rec Center, 240 Commerce Drive, Grayslake. DAR essay contest: The Twenty-first Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution announce its annual American History Essay Contest.
