Crystal Lake South 5, Dundee-Crown 1: The Gators (14-3-2, 6-1) continued their dominating play in Fox Valley (Valley) Conference action as they downed the Chargers (2-10-2, 0-7) 5-1 at home.
Jon Gutmann turned in a stellar performance recording a hat trick while Charlie Oliver recorded the Gators other 2 goals. Trevor Bittenbender and Matt Biederwolf picked up 1 assist a piece. Mauricio Arellano recorded the Chargers lone goal. Dave Walsh registered 2 saves in goal for the Gators while Dundee-Crown's Edit Fuentes stopped 14 shots on goal.
Huntley 2, McHenry 1: The Red Raiders (6-7-2, 3-4) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first half and held on for a 2-1 Fox Valley (Valley) Conference victory over visiting McHenry.
Javier Diaz recorded Huntley's first goal while Kareem Rassas recorded the game winning goal. Mchenry's lone goal was scored by Holden Senn-Raemont. Kevin Montelongp recorded 5 saves in goal for Huntley while Taylor Halm saved 2 shots on goal for McHenry.
Cary-Grove 3, Jacobs 1: After waiting out a weather delay, the Trojans (11-1, 7-0) took a full half to get their offense going as the Golden Eagles (3-4) jumped out to a 1-0 early halftime lead. Cary-Grove used a strong second half to defeat Jacobs in Fox Valley (Valley) Conference action 3-1.
David Van Vliebergen got Jacobs on the board first finding the back of the net in the first half. Matt Latawiec then put the Trojans ahead converting on 2 consecutive penalty kicks. Evan Baker added an insurance goal off of a feed from C.J. Arenberg. Will Higgins recorded 4 saves in goal for Cary-Grove while Danny Trevor and A.J. Pfatschbacher combined for 5 saves in goal for Jacobs.
Neuqua Valley 3, Streamwood 0: The Sabres (4-11-4, 0-5-2) remain winless in Upstate Eight Conference action as they fell to Neuqua Valley 3-0.
