Bartlett 1, St. Charles North 0: The Hawks (6-2, 2-1) scored in the first half and never looked back as they defeated St. Charles North 1-0 in Upstate Eight Conference action. Eric Kennebeck headed the Hawks' lone goal into the back of the net off a cross from Brian Roman in the 20th minute. Bartlett held its one goal lead for the rest of the game.
Burlington Central 0, Harvard 0: The Rockets (6-2-2, 2-0-1) battled through 2 overtimes with Harvard but neither team was able to push a goal across in this Big Northern East Conference matchup. Alex Pieper played solid in goal for Burlington Central recording 9 saves in the shutout tie.
Jacobs 1, McHenry 0: The Golden Eagles (3-4-1, 2-1) picked up this Fox Valley (Valley) victory over McHenry by scoring a late second half goal for the 1-0 win. John Kowalski scored Jacobs' lone goal off a feed from Taylor Pignataro in the 72nd minute to secure the victory for the Golden Eagles. A.J. Pfatschbacher earned the shutout in goal recording 6 saves.
Huntley 2, Dundee-Crown 1: The Red Raiders (4-4-2) captured a 2-1 nonconference road victory over Dundee-Crown. Javier Diaz proved to be the game changer, scoring both of Huntley's goals. Tim Sloma and Ignacio Solorzano each added an assist while Kevin Montelongo recorded 5 saves in goal for the Red Raiders. Chargers' goalie Edit Fuentes made 5 saves on the night.
Streamwood 1, St. Charles East 1: The Sabres (3-5-3, 0-1-1) battled to the end but came out with a draw against St. Charles East in Upstate Eight Conference play. Ulises Chavez scored the Sabres' goal off a feed from Alex Perez. Edgar Leyva recorded 2 saves in goal. The Sabres will return to action Thursday where they will face Loyal in the quarterfinals of the Pepsi Showdown.
Westminster Christian 1, Keith School 1: The Warriors (3-3-1) battled to a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation but lost on penalty kicks 4-1. Ishmeal Yehmoh scored the Warriors only goal of the night and Scott Sutarik recorded 12 saves in goal.
Montini 6, St. Edward 2: The Green Wave (2-6, 1-3) stayed with Montini for the first half heading to the locker room down by just a goal but St. Edward was not able to get anything going in the second half falling 6-2. Mark Olenek and Jim Cholewa each scored goals for the Green Wave, both of which came via the penalty kick. Cholewa also registered 10 saves in goal.
