Lake Co. adult social calendar

Events for adults that are largely social, such as singles events, reunions, game nights, wine tastings and adult open gym nights. Deadline is two weeks before event date.

Aug. 4

Knitter's Night Out: 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 and 18 and Sept. 1, 15 and 29, Lake Villa District Library, 1001 E. Grand Ave., Lake Villa. Summer Barbecue Meeting: 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at a members home, directions given with registration. Aug. 5

Fireworks Cruise: 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, Wauconda Area Public Library, 801 N. Main St., Wauconda. A bus will leave the library and tour Chicago's shore line. Open Bottling Nights: 5-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, Vintner's Cellar Winery, 529 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville. Guests will participate in the winemaking experience as they bottle, cork, and affix their own customized label to a bottle of wine to take home. The cost of the evening is $25 per person.
