June 6

Pet Vaccination Clinic: 9 a.m. to noon. Saturday, June 6, Mundelein Park District's Regent Center, 1200 Regent Drive, Mundelein. The Lake County Health Department Animal/Rabies Control program will sponsor a free and low cost pet vaccination clinic for the dogs and cats of Lake County residents ages 50 and over. Available services include free one-year rabies vaccinations and reduced rates for distemper complex and micro chip implant. A rabies tag must be purchased at time of vaccination. Spring and Summer Plant Clinics: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, and Thursday, Aug. 20, Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail, Lake Zurich. Master gardeners from the University of Illinois will be on-hand to answer gardening questions and offer advice. This program is free, and registration is not required. Pooch Pantry: 12:30-6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, B.C. Dog Training, 920 Turret Court, Mundelein. B.C. Dog Training and B.A.R.K are collecting dry dog and cat food, canned dog and cat food, biscuits and any pet treats to help families in need feed their pets. Puppies 10 weeks to 6 months of age with proof of vaccinations can play with other puppies for free in a safe, off-leash environment.
