May 29

LHS Poms Squad Garage Sale: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 29-30, 29560 N Hawthorne Lane, Libertyville. Clothing, furniture, household appliances, books, toys and more. All proceeds to benefit the Libertyville High School Varsity Poms Squad.

Rummage sale: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 29, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 30, Staben House, 3000 Grand Ave., Waukegan. Waukegan Township Staben House rummage sale will be held. Proceeds from the sale will be used to provide graduates from the transitional housing program with gift certificates to purchase food at local grocery stores. Deerfield Festival of Fine Arts: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 30-31, on Park Avenue just west of Waukegan Road and north of Deerfield Road, Deerfield. Juried fine art and crafts from across the county, including acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, glass, jewelry, ceramics, fiber, sculpture, mixed media, furniture, printmaking, photography and wood. Live music will also be performed.

Farmers market: Our Lady of the Brook Catholic Community will be the site of a weekly farmers market in Northbrook this summer. The market will kick off on Wednesday, June 24, and will be held every Wednesday through Oct. 14 from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. The market will feature dozens of vendors, selling the freshest produce, flowers, organic foods, artisan cheeses, baked goods and much more.
