SRACLC Ladies Only Golf Outing: 10 a.m. shotgun start, Thursday May 28, Vernon Hills Golf Course, 291 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills. The Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County will hold it's Fourth Annual Ladies Golf Outing to benefit SRACLC's Special Olympics training programs and financial aid fund. Hypertour wakeboarding competition: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, Diamond Lake Beach and Recreation Center, 1016 Diamond Lake Road, Mundelein. The Mundelein Park & Recreation District's Diamond Lake Hypertour. All ages are invited to spend a day at the beach and watch wakeboarding competitors perform flips and tricks. Vernon Hills Soccer Academy: Registration ends May 30 for tryouts for the travel soccer program starting at age 8 beginning the week of June 2 at Nike Park Vernon Hills Athletic Complex, one mile south of Route 60 on Fairway Drive, Vernon Hills. Sports camps for girls: Registration deadline Monday, June 1, Volleyball Camp: 9-11:30 a.m.; Basketball Camp: noon to 2:30 p.m.; Tennis Camp: 1-3 p.m. for grades 6-8, 3-5 p.m. for high school players; Field Hockey Camp: 8-10 a.m. Volleyball, Basketball, and the first session of Field Hockey will run June 15-19; Tennis will run July 13-17; and the second session of Field Hockey will run July 27-31, Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart, 760 E Westleigh Road, Lake Forest.
