Art reception: 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 22, Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art, College of Lake County Foundation, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake. An opening reception will be held for new exhibit of paintings and works on paper by artists Beth Shadur and Gabriella Boros with music by pianist Vladimir Shifrin. Cuneo Gardens Art Fest: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 23-24, Cuneo Museum, 1350 Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills. Juried fine art and crafts from across the United States, including acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, jewelry, ceramics, fiber, glass, sculpture, mixed media and photography. Live music will also be performed.
Grayslake "Late Nite" Flea Market: 5 p.m. Saturday, May 23, to midnight, Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 E. Peterson Road, Grayslake. Bring flashlights to seek out bargains. Food will be served all evening, and antique and collector cars will be displayed. Admission is $5, children under 16 with parents are free. Deerfield Festival of Fine Arts: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 30-31, on Park Avenue just west of Waukegan Road and north of Deerfield Road, Deerfield. Juried fine art and crafts from across the county, including acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, glass, jewelry, ceramics, fiber, sculpture, mixed media, furniture, printmaking, photography and wood. Live music will also be performed.

Farmers market: Our Lady of the Brook Catholic Community will be the site of a weekly farmers market in Northbrook this summer. The market will kick off on Wednesday, June 24, and will be held every Wednesday through Oct. 14 from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. The market will feature dozens of vendors, selling the freshest produce, flowers, organic foods, artisan cheeses, baked goods and much more.
