Lake Zurich 5, Libertyville 2: Lake Zurich rolled up 3 runs in the second inning and hung on to get the North Suburban Lake Division victory.
Coryn Schmit went 2-for-4 with a home run and Megan Mattera went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double to lead the Bears (16-4, 3-2 Lake).
Meanwhile, Ella Aslan added a double and Kelli Blume went 2-for-3.
Mattera also moved her pitching record to 10-3 with the victory. She went the distance and racked up 13 strikeouts while giving up only 2 walks.
For Libertyville (5-9, 2-5 Lake), Nicole Kruckman had a double, a triple and scored both runs.
Stevenson 5, Warren 1: Stevenson turned 2 double plays and also put together some impressive work at the plate to get the North Suburban Lake Division win.
The Patriots (10-6) got a home run from Emma Patrash and doubles from Amanda Jaegers and Nicole Duda.
On the mound, Allie Micucci got the victory. She went the distance and got 5 strikeouts while allowing just 1 walk.
For Warren, Lindsay Horwitz had a triple.
Carmel 1, St. Viator 0: Pitcher Rachel Tack rolled up 12 strikeouts and kept St. Viator scoreless.
Kelley Dodge, Shea Crowley and Sally Snarski accounted for Carmel's three hits. They each had one.
Vernon Hills 1, Antioch 0: Pitcher Megin Meline rolled up 10 strikeouts in going the distance for Vernon Hills, which moves to 10-3 overall.
Paige Kahalnik drove in Vernon Hills' only run.
Wauconda 16, Richmond-Burton 0: The Bulldogs got the decisive victory in five innings, moving their record to 12-6.
Prairie Ridge 6, Grayslake North 1: Despite 10 strikeouts by pitcher Samantha Myers, Grayslake North took the loss.
Johnsburg 5, Grayslake Central 1: Grayslake Central's lone highlight came on a seventh-inning home run by Abbie Goetsch.
