Anttila's hit lifts Antioch

Allie Anttila's two-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh scored Jess Liszka, as Antioch's softball team to a 1-0 win over Warren in a North Suburban Conference crossover thriller Thursday.

Antioch pitcher Olivia Duehr struck out 10 while allowing 5 hits and 2 walks. Ashley Mysliwiec was 2-for-3 with a double for Antioch (5-0).

Sam Berrios suffered the hard-luck loss, despite 7 strikeouts. She allowed 7 hits and 1 walk.

CL South 8, Grayslake North 3: The Gators scored 3 runs in the first inning and never looked back in the Fox Valley Conference crossover.

Zion-Benton 2, Wauconda 1: Kate Martino singled in Kendra Wedl in the bottom of the seventh and then stole second base, but was stranded there, as the Bulldogs came up just short in the North Suburban crossover.

Wedl had doubled with two out in the seventh. Martino had tripled in the fifth for Wauconda (7-3).

Vernon Hills 9, Stevenson 2: Anna Christensen went 3-for-3 with a double for the Cougars in the North Suburban crossover.

Sara Doerhoefer had a triple and 3 RBI for Vernon Hills (4-2). Amanda Zusman pitched a complete-game 5-hitter for the win.

Libertyville 20, North Chicago 0: Athena Cocallas had a triple, and 5 RBI for the Wildcats in the North Suburban crossover.

Libertyville (4-5) got 2 hits apiece from Cocallas, Brittany Schick, Leah Kruckman, Nicole Smith, Caitlin Maldonado and Julie Gilkison. Schick, Kruckman and Gilkison each had a double. Winning pitcher Mandy Vogg had 9 strikeouts.

Lake Zurich 5, Grant 3: Kelli Blume was 2-for-4 with an RBI for thwe Bears (10-3) in the North Suburban crossover.

Brie Brugioni and Molly Smith homered for Grant (2-7).

Lakes 2, Mundelein 1: Nicole Speck went 3-for-3, and Naomi Tesar had a 2-run double in the first inning, as the Eagles improved to 7-4 with the North Suburban crossover win.

Tesar finished 2-for-3, while Shannon Cooley earned the victory in the circle.

She had 7 strikeouts and no free passes, and also helped herself with a single.

Melissa Diaz had a home run for Mundelein.
